New Header

Hey y'all.....I am looking to have the pics in my header re-done (I want to keep everything else, just change the pics). I am  looking for reasonable rates.....shoot me a message if that's your thang!!

3 FRENCH HENS Market

The 3 French Hens Market http://www.3frenchhensmarket.blogspot.com/ is THE place to be...according to Romantic Home Magazine and Romantic Country Home magazine (you can read all about it by clicking on their link above). There annual night market was yesterday and I was part of the magic....before I show you my pics, here was the entrance to the "HEN HOUSE"

Wasn't their set up adorable?!?!? They did a great job!! There were chippy wooden fixtures, chandeliers, etc.....

HERE is my vignette.....I LOVE this space right across from the canal because I have a gorgeous backdrop.....

The chairs and table both SOLD!!! As well as many of the smaller items pictured....

Here is a close up of the fabric chandy that I made....it got a lot of ooh and ahh's, but didn't sell - and I am great with that because it gorgeous and I wanted to keep it!!

Here was the other side of my booth space with more of the smaller items....I didn't have a canopy because it's a lil challenging to set up a canopy all alone, but it worked out ok...I moved with the sun!! The canopy does add a finishing touch to the display though...SO for all the canopy makers, make one that is one touch for one person to set up ;)

My girl and I in our boots! Her pink one's were the hit of the day!!

Picturesque photos of the canal and awesome bridge....

If you saw me at the market - leave a comment and say hi!!

I'd rather have a life of "oh well's" than a life of "what if's"

This market symbolized more than just success in displays, sales and meeting new people.....you see, I used to have a partner that helped me with these markets, and this person LOVED it as much as I do...shared a genuine passion for it and it was awesome....but as life changes, you drift your seperate ways and you are left with just memories....THIS was the first market I have done by myself in a LONG time, I wasn't sure I could do it, I knew my displays would b great BUT not everything I dreamed of....but guess what? I DID IT!! There is great success in knowing you can do something....and to me that is an "I DID IT" and if I had failed, it would've been a "oh well" instead of wondering "what if"....so my words of wisdom this morning are " YOU CAN DO IT"

A day in the life.....

A day in the life are lil snapshots throughout the week of things that caught my eye....things only other bloggers will understand (my kids don't understand why I have to take pics of my food...or shoes I try on in the aisle at Target, etc....all I ever hear is "you're so embarrassing").

These are thus far my all time FAVE hair products...the göt2b line by Schwarkopf....you can get these at any drug store (the hair paste is actually from Big Lots) and they won't break the bank! They smell fab and work great! If you have used them or try them after this post, lemme know what YOU think of them!!

No trip to Marshall's is complete without checking out the clearance section...where I found Mr. Bones! (I saw him last week but he was $1.00 (because he's missing a blingy eye - easy fix!!! But I was too cheap to pay $1.00..when I went this week, he was .70 - HAD TO HAVE!!)

His first run was making my couponing list (I haven't gotten as good as those extreme couponers BUT I am working on it!!)

Here is the above mentioned pic....trying on shoes in Target - don't ya love these turquoise suede mocs? Have y'all noticed fall's line is very Southwest inspired? Yay or nay to Southwest?

While I did NOT get the moccassins, my lil guy did get some new kicks...converse Batman with BAT WINGS!!!! Are these great or WHAT?!?!?!? My lil guy is so obsessed with Batman!! I couldn't pass on these!!

My new haircut....I was trying to grow it out BUT after seeing my new drivers license pic with the long hair, I immediatley made an appointment to get it cut...long hair is awesome and looks great on some people BUT isn't for me.....I only had about 2" taken off and a new style....but I forsee shorter hair still in my future....

I vended at the 3 French Hens market saturday....as usual a great show full of awesome vendors!!

I made this gorgeous fabric chandy....which didn't sell and I am secretly glad about because I wanted to keep it!!
More French Hens pics to come!! Check my next post!!

May every sunrise hold more promise and every sunset hold more peace

see the leopard in the pockets?!?! It's on the cuff as well!! I LOVED these jeans the first time I saw them...but alas my size was gone - UNTIL last week a customer returned them!! AND they were now 29.99 vs. 99.00 - WOOT WOOT!!

If you guys have checked out my WIWW posts before, you KNOW a lot of my stuff is thrifted....while I know thrifting isn't for everyone (and even grosses some people out) I want you to realize Target donates A LOT of things to the thrift stores, so you can score AMAZING brand new Target items for pennies on the dollar sometimes!!

WIWW Outtakes Part II

I once posted the "outtakes" from my What I Wore Wednesday pics and they were a hit! SO, as I was cleaning out my pics I noticed I have several outtakes again....ENJOY!! It's good to be a lil silly sometimes....laughter is good for the soul!

This is an oldie...maybe back in March....Everybody was Kung-Fu fighting....

I look like lil Miss Mary Sunshine (I was actually trying to showcase my fab vintage umbrella)

Was fixing my hair and lil Miss thought it would be funny to take my pic - I feel like I look mad...

And apparently the next time I thought I was a pin-up girl!!
And then a hippie!! (the "headscarf" is actually the belt that goes to the dress, but I was thinking "outside the box")

I feel like one of the Seven Dwarves here....Hi ho hi ho....(in reality I was kicking a pair of flip flops off to the side)

Channeling my inner Cowgirl!!

Peace out Girl Scout

Mani Monday Gold Glitter and Grey French

I'm posting Mani Monday (on Tuesday :( time got away from me yesterday) and linking up with Glitter and Gloss http://www.glitterandglossblog.com/2012/08/mani-monday.html....if you haven't checked out her blog yet, be sure too - she's a cutie who covers the gamut from fashion to home decor!

I wanted something fun and funky but not over the top for work, so I came up with this....

I used NYC Quick Dry polish in Park Avenue and topped the tips with Art Deco Gold glitter....

And for coordinating toes I did the same polish as the tips BUT added a coat of Gold glitter over the top, I LOVE the way these came out, the colors were fab and I got several compliments!

I highly recommend NYC colors - they are very reasonably priced (I wanna say around $2.48 a bottle) and LAST! This is a GREAT polish to try when using that FUN (ya know the one you always look at and never buy) color!!
