Recycle, Reduce and Re-Use

If you're a picture person SKIP on down and bypass my windy explanation :) I was SO ANXIOUS to start this project that I forgot to take a BEFORE (I know, unbelievable). Suffice it to say this board was in the trash when DUH, it occurred to me that I can paint it! Picture this: a country wedgewood blue with the saying 'may all your weeds be wildflowers' (you can now see why it was about to hit the trash!). So, now that I know I can paint it, it needs something more....

So I added some vintage hooks that I purchased from a seller on Etsy, added some numbers (any GUESSES as to what the numbers are?) and VIOLA! The finished project!


After the pain was dry, I roughed up the wood with the hammer and then distressed by hand...
Here's a close up...I bet you can guess what the numbers are now....
Ahhhh, that's better! Everything is better with accessories!!
