This past weekend was a wonderful SUMMER weekend.....the bakery, thrifting, flower shopping, church, family time (picnic lunch with my guys family and a pizza dinner / estate sale treasure show with my parents). This post is picture heavy!!
Saturday morning started here.....
I have driven by a hundred times and always wanted to stop.....look at the cute pink railings (for all you PINK fans)
Inside there were several of these beauties......
Look at this sweet cake! This was one of many that were available for immediate purchase.....
The following cakes were special order.....
This cherry blossom cake was whimsical BUT still elegant....
FUN modern cake.....
What a CUTE grooms cake.....
LOVE the polka dots! This would be fab for a wedding, baby shower or a LARGE party
After we thrifted, went to an estate sale (I don't know WHY I didn't take any pics at the estate sale - it was FAB!! We purchased an awesome custom made couch and loveseat - pics to come once we pick it up) and shopped for flowers we came home and did some yard work, marinated some steak for kabobs and I cut these from the garden....
Aren't they pretty?!?! Some giant leaves, hydrangeas and a varigated leaf.....this is by far one of the FAVE arrangements I have cut from the garden.....
You may have noticed the tray the vase is on.....here's a closer look....
Isn't it a beauty?!?! Carved wood for $1.99 at Goodwill. I thought about giving it a white wash finish BUT think I am going to leave it just the way it is! Imagine it full of sea glass and white pillars for summer, pumpkins and gourds for fall, pinecones and candles for winter and a vase of fresh cut flowers for summer......
Hope you had a GREAT weekend too!
