FOODIE FRIDAY....Biscuits and Gravy...I'm SO Un-Southern

SO, I pre-face this post with 

1) I DON'T EAT biscuits and gravy

2) I CLEARLY have NO idea how to make them

3) It was for my daughter who likes them BUT I never make them

SO I got my can o'gravy, made my instant biscuits (and what you can't see is I fried up sausage patties BECAUSE I thought you served patties IN the biscuits)

When I served THIS to my daughter she said "what is this?"

Apparently THIS is how it's supposed to look

I PERSONALLY Like my version of the sammie better...then you can dip into the gravy

(and for future reference I am SURE I don't like biscuits and gravy - no matter how they're prepared)

My daughter made the chocolate covered strawberries....YUM-O

SO, this was my EPIC fail at making biscuits and gravy - now here in the cyberworld for everyone to see!! Let's just say I will leave it up to the restaurants to make them for her!!

THRIFY TUESDAY....FAB Jewelry on the low low

Todays TT post is going to be an amalgamation of the FAB jewelry I've scored in the last 2 weeks. The BEST part is they are high end / low end pieces BUT work PERFECTLY together!!

I HEART pearls!! To me these pearl cross earrings are EDGY and sweet all in one (the size and shape make them edgy - the pearls sweet). Bangles - who can't pop a bangle or two onto their arm for instant SWAG!?!?! The circles are the bracelet are mother of pearl - SWOON.

I LOVE the pearls and elephant (trunks up= good luck). PERFECT layering piece....and kinda fits the earthy gypsy mojo I've been feeling lately.....

Can YOU guess what's hi and lo?!?! Guess a PRICE point on these 4 pieces above....

Retail Value over $100. (actually $100.97) which I guess isn't too too bad...BUT MORE than I want to pay. 

I paid $28.50. YES!! It's TRUE!! There are certain stores that are a "go-to" for certain things. #Chico's has FAB jewelry and when it's on sale its ripe for the pickin! For example, the necklace was originally $39., marked down to $24.99 WITH 1/2 off so it came down to $12.50. The bracelets were $29. each, marked down to 14.99 with 1/2 off so they were $7.50 each. The earrings wal-mart -$1.00

Gold Glitter Coasters  - Rang up $1.00 for each pack (I have a project in mind for them NOW that I have 3 packs...I didn't want to "waste" them....do you do that? Hoard supplies because they are just too good to use?!??! I mean I know they were $1.00 BUT so glittery and beautiful!! ). Have a GLORIOUS Tuesday!! 

MANI MONDAY....Spumoni LEOPARD

Remember the Sally Hansen Nail strips that were all the rage like 2 years ago?!?!? While getting easter basket fillers at the Dollar Store I found these....(and as you can see I was due for a polish change)

So I splurged and applied....

And this is how they looked the next day....

I LOVED the color combo and the sassy leopard spots....BUT they didn't hold out (which is EXACTLY what I expected) BUT my take away was I was INSPIRED....

I gathered similar colors...polished my nails and when they were dry used a Sally Hansen Nail art pen in black to draw the spots on.....I then dabbed silver glitter in the center of each dot. Are you as WILD about this design as I am ?!?!?

VIOLA!!! A FUN FAB unique bag for summer!!! As I was making this one my head was SPINNING with possibilities for other colors....SO....

 I am listing this one for sale. The tassels are all handmade, and have been attached to a stripe lined (you can see a bit of the stripe in the above photo) Espirit straw bag that features worn leather handles. Measures 15" long, 9 1/2" tall and 5" wide. I am selling for $45.00. Leave a comment if you're interested and I will send you an invoice. You COULD easily make one yourself BUT it really is time consuming!!
