Fun FOOD

Have you tried these Dole Shakers?

They are SO DELISH!! You can find them in the freezer section at your grocery store (I've always found mine at wal-mart). It is frozen fruit, you simply add the juice of your choice (Dole suggests ORange juice) to the fill line and shake! Yum-O!!! So good and you get a delish smoothie for under $2.00! Lemme know if you try them and what your FAVE flavor is!

If you have a taste for some chocolate and fruit, try this.....

WILD OPEHILA (Don't you LOVE the name and the packaging?!?!). This southern hibiscus PEACH bar is YUMMY! Per the "Guided Tasting Tips" "Smell the aromas of sweet peaches and and tart hibiscus flowers....taste the balanced caramel notes in the milk chocolate....

If fruit and chocolate aren't your thing, how about some beef jerky and chocolate?!??!
These are SO GOOD! Give them a try...you can find these at Wal-Mart as well in the candy Aisle....I believe they are $2.48-ish.....WORTH every penny!

A Charmed Life

Remember these?

They were inspired by this.....
"A Charmed Life" my FAVYE fragrance from Bath & Body...to be honest I ONLY bought it based on the FAB graphics of the box, so KUDOS to the graphic designer!! The 3 colors are so delish together....magenta, teal and gold =  L O V E!! They went on to inspire the canvas with the glitter cassettes pictures above....and the project pictured below....

Picked the frame up at the thrift, gave it SEVERAL coats of magenta paint....and in between made the cute lil banner with flags using paint chips for the magenta and teal and a box cut and glittered for the gold ones....

Have a GLITTERY DAY

We met at "Flippin' Eggs" http://flippineggs.com/Home_Page.php Don'tcha LOVE the name?!?! Lemme tell you, when they say there were voted Best Breakfast Restaurant in DeKalb 2010, they weren't kidding! Looks like a total mom n pop place but the food was AMAZE!!

With a party of 5 or more you get a plate of FRESH MADE donuts for FREE! These were so delish and came with powdered sugar and chocolate toppings....

Here I am having my first sip of CHOCOLATE COKE!!
YUM-O!! So good!! (I am a coke girl, I don't dig Pepsi and for those of you that don't know, yes, there is a difference!!)

Good thing my girls were with me or HE would've had to be my date!!

We all had to pose with him (Cause I made them!!)....

Tonite my girl is at the Daddy / Daughter dance with her father....she looked so pretty in this.....

Hope you are having a GREAT Saturday too!!

Unlikely GOLDen WISHES

I saw this project on another blog ages ago and couldn't wait to try it! I was just waiting to find the pieces...I already knew I had the candlesticks because years ago I made wedding accents.....I had the lid from another jar that I got at the thrift (and the lid didn't even fit that jar correctly...so I held onto it thinking I'd use it for a paperweight or something) and then one day I found this jar (among other things) on the curb - could it be possible the lid I already have would fit this jar?!?!?!

IT DOES FIT!! So now onto the painting....First I did a granny smith green because it's my favey color....

hmmm, for some reason the color just doesn't look right....and a bigger taper stick base would be ideal....

So I went back to the painting board and did a glossy navy....because I went through a navy phase...

But it turns out that wasn't what I was looking for either....see, green, navy....

and then BAM!! A GOLDen opportunity presented itself! LOL! In case you can't tell I am on a gold kick now! The good news is its as easy as a few sprays of paint to change....and glass paints and dries well!

Now what to fill my pedestal jar with....how about wishes?

If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but for the passionate sense of potential -- for the eye which, ever young and ardent, sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints; possibility never.
                                                                                                                                                              Soren Kierkegaard
Tell me, what do YOU wish for?

At the end of the day I WISH FOR YOUR happiness.

Gold Flippy's - Target via the Thrift (BRAND NEW)

Thursday I had a dentist appointment - a filling....I am not one of those people that hates going to the dentist or is scared....but I will spare you the pics at the dental office that I look like a stroke victim because my right side of my face was so droopey from the numbing agent

AFLORABLE and Minty

I am really enjoying doing my nails in unique ways each week! This week I really wanted to mix it up and push the envelope....SO i used 4 different products......

The base is Piggy Polish in "Poet-Tree", the thumb features a swipe of glitter from Wet N' Wild called "Party of Five Glitters", my middle fingers feature Sally Hansen Salon effects nail strip in "Aflorable" and pinky is just a swipe of silver glitter by Art Deco

No One is Allowed To Leave Without Having FUN!!!

What does this remind you of ???

If you guessed Wrigley Field, you're RIGHT!!!

Yep! That's my girl, out on the field! And my lil' guy too!

There is this FAB lil place in Freeport Illinois called Little Cubs Field http://www.littlecubsfield.com/

It's free, it's cute AND you can rent it for parties (how cool would that be?!?!)

These cute rules were posted on the dug out.....MY FAVE is "Nobody leaves without having fun"....My lil guy wasn't crazy about being there as he isn't a baseball fan - he said he's not good at it :( AND mommy didn't bring bats (I could swear on-line it said there were balls and bats in the dugout)....BUT by the time we left, my lil guy said he had fun!!

It was a pretty magical and fun place in a lil pocket of America!

There's Harry.....Give me a one.....

 A two.....

A three.....
Take me out to the ball game.....take me out with the crowds.....but me some peanuts and cracker jacks...I don't care if we never get back....So if you're looking for something fun to do with the kiddies for free, head out to Freeport....Don't forget the bags of Cub's peanuts and Cracker Jacks! (and to check the schedule because lil leagues actually play there!).
