I saw this project on another blog ages ago and couldn't wait to try it! I was just waiting to find the pieces...I already knew I had the candlesticks because years ago I made wedding accents.....I had the lid from another jar that I got at the thrift (and the lid didn't even fit that jar correctly...so I held onto it thinking I'd use it for a paperweight or something) and then one day I found this jar (among other things) on the curb - could it be possible the lid I already have would fit this jar?!?!?!
IT DOES FIT!! So now onto the painting....First I did a granny smith green because it's my favey color....
hmmm, for some reason the color just doesn't look right....and a bigger taper stick base would be ideal....
So I went back to the painting board and did a glossy navy....because I went through a navy phase...
But it turns out that wasn't what I was looking for either....see, green, navy....
and then BAM!! A GOLDen opportunity presented itself! LOL! In case you can't tell I am on a gold kick now! The good news is its as easy as a few sprays of paint to change....and glass paints and dries well!
Now what to fill my pedestal jar with....how about wishes?
“If I were to wish for anything, I should not wish for wealth and power, but for the passionate sense of potential -- for the eye which, ever young and ardent, sees the possible. Pleasure disappoints; possibility never.”
Soren Kierkegaard
Tell me, what do YOU wish for?
At the end of the day I WISH FOR YOUR happiness.
At the end of the day I WISH FOR YOUR happiness.
