The pup lost a tooth....we noticed she was chewing on something and it was her tooth....

NEVER FAILS....my day off and the lawn guy comes....he's one guy mowing over a dozen lawns SO he's here ALL DAY...no peace and quiet for me (AND he doesn't blow the grass off the drive which BURNS my a$$)

Got a pedicure from my daughter (I'm too scared to go in for a real pedi - see my "cancer toe" on the left foot? Been like that since FEB and I'm FINALLY getting into the dermatologist then end of July...my doc saw it and wanted no part of it - referred me to the derm)

There's INSPIRATION EVERYWHERE (as bloggers we know that and we see things differently). LOVED these pots....Gonna add burlap to my hanging baskets (which JUST so happen to be this shape....ya know how you see something and it triggers your mind...I didn't have my hanging baskets out until AFTER I saw this...my flowers were just in the baskets they came in - GENERIC) and the palm with the decorative peppers and pop of pink - SWOON!!!!

ANOTHER inspiration is everywhere picture....LOVE these day of the dead skulls.....wanna try my hand at cilantro infused vodka and the Chicago bottle - NEED!!

A DAY IN THE LIFE.....

Found THIS beauty on my neighbors curb....I've ALWAYS wanted a glass storm door at THIS house and now I've got it....I just need the hardware and the courage to install it (oh and I'm thinking a spritz of Robins eggs Blue would be prudent)

Garage sale weekend brought rain....OF COURSE it did....I seem to have a curse for sales and rain

 But we cocktailed and made the BEST of it!!!

Found THIS cute idea on Pinterest....putting a cupcake paper OVER your glass so the bugs don't get in - Pretty Brilliant right?!?!?!

My son found this WEIRD looking bulldog MAD frog....I THOUGHT maybe he was Prince Charming (but we will never know - I was having NO PART of kissing him...altho it does sound like the plot of a Hallmark Channel movie)

My vision board is complete...maybe one day I'll do a post about it (and all the others I've made - I SWEAR they come true)

This was our mobile office for garage sale central....signs, tacks, tape and scissors....THIS was how we got almost ALL the people who stopped - flyers on the windshields....pretty clever huh?!?! I remember my parents used to do that back in the day when they had garage sales (altho they sold fine antique furniture but they would make 2-3k on any given weekend)

Check out this GORGEOUS planter at the local grocer....I wish I had somewhere to put it! The peppers are what slay me - LOVE it!!!

It's awesome having one of your bestie's right next door....we hang out and garage sale, have cocktail hour and take turns cooking!! She made the salmon -which was SO DELISH!!! There is DEF a difference in FRESH salmon vs. the frozen pre-portioned stuff

Do YOU see what's outside my window?!?! Without fail the lawn comes on my day off EVERY WEEK....and you may be thinking "switch your day off" that's the thing - it's NEVER the same day! SO my days off never get to be spent in peace outside

So instead I met a friend for lunch and a long island iced tea...

Another night of dinner with my homegurl.....food for both our families!!

My son is a lego NUT!!! He has THOUSANDS of pieces - no joke!!! BUT he is BRILLIANT at building things, coming up with his own creations - it's pretty awesome to see how his mind works!

FOODIE FRIDAY....BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Apparently the GOLDEN GOOSE is laying eggs these days!!! A few weeks ago when I went to the super market a dozen eggs was $3.99 - WHA?!?!?!? I KNOW there has been a bird flu which has increased the price in eggs and chicken. SO feeding my family while not going for broke is a common theme as of late!! I THOUGHT I had a few eggs in the fridge and could make a small breakfast casserole BUT alas I didn't have said eggs. SO imagine my GREAT surprise when I went to my local grocer and got the below items for a "STEAL" (the eggs were $1.48/dozen, cheese 1.99, sausage .99 and southern style potatoes)

I googled breakfast casserole recipes (the last one I made was a'ight BUT I like m eggs well cooked and that last one was not). This recipe called for croutons in the base (I coarsely chopped up some aged italian bread, added the last 5 crackers the kids left so I couldn't say they "ate them all" and some leftover potato chips (I joked this was becoming garbage casserole - toss in whatever you can find)

 Above is the layer of bread, cooked sausage and southern style potatoes (which I dod brown) and the recipe called for 3 eggs, milk and cream of mushroom soup.....

Poor over mixture and top with cheese...bake at 325 for 45-50 min.

This was before it went into the oven.....

Unbelievably I did not get an after pic as we dug right in!! It was delish!! The addition of onions and jalapenos would've MADE this dish BUT I was fresh out!!

TRY IT THURSDAY....PATIO PLANT GRASS SHIELD

SO, I have been on this kick that I want to be farmer....With the EXORBITANT cost of groceries these days and all the chemicals that are put on plants to grow them and preserve them I just wanna get back to the grass roots living our ancestors knew! SO I decided to have a "patio farm" this summer....growing things I can use (tomatoes, green peppers, celery, cilantro, basil, dill) and all but the tomatoes are from seed...SO here they are on my deck

(SEE the pieces of grass in the pots?!??! We have a service that mows and when he does all the grass bits fly up into my planters....I'm NOT TRYING TO GROW grass...)So WHAT could I do to prohibit that from happening?!??! I needed a screen...BUT something see-thru that the plants can still grow...WAIT I think I have something in my garage that I can use....A large piece of glass I saved from a picture frame (too thin to use for a table top and I NEVER knew what I would do with it BUT I don't throw a whole lot away). So I went and got said piece of glass and propped it behind the pots....as a barrier between my plants and the flying grass.....

It has worked BRILLIANTLY!!!! I just have to be careful that the pants don't burn...turning them every few days....
