Getting Organized (prettily)

I saw pretty lil markers similar to the ones I made below on someone's blog (I am sorry I can't remember your blog...if anyone knows, please tell me so I can give her credit for her FAB idea).  I FOUND her!! Check out Lisa here http://www.thesweettalkshop.com/2012/02/sweettalk-shop-sweet-easy-craft.html After I saw them I had just the perfect project for them.....

You see, I had turned this sweet lil journal from Michaels (remember when I got it Jen?) dollar spot into a daily planner / idea log / future projects log.....so that everything was organized in ONE spot that I can easily carry in my purse!

Don't worry! I'll show you how to do it!! You start by making your ribbon paper clips.....I did just as the original blog instructed and got the pretty paperclips from Target....

Then I pulled out my pretty ribbon that I bought ages ago (thats so pretty I never use it....do you do that too? Buy stuff and love it so much you don't want to "ruin" it by using it?!?!? LOL). When I realized I could use those ribbon scraps I save....

It's so easy....just loop the ribbon thru itself onto the paperclip....I made ribbons to coordinate with events...

For example....Here is my March calendar...all handwritten (I personally like hand written BUT you could do labels or something if ya wanna be all fancy)....March has the green argyle ribbon! (Notice Fatmumslims photo a day challenge is written to the right)

I used 2 pages for the days of the month with one line for each appointment....then I saved another 2 pages for projects I hope to accomplish that month...

I did that for each month of the year.....and then toward the back I labeled off sections for things like this....PROJECTS

BEAUTY

PREP LIST FOR THE FLEA MARKET

BIRTHDAY PARTIES / THEMES and IDEAS

KIDS PROJECTS
(I want to do more and be more to my kids....to mean that means doing projects together)

WANT LIST
(that is the last and smallest section in my book...here is where I will log things that I desire {within my means of course} so I can keep an eye out for a great sale OR if I come upon some money know what has been my hearts desire instead if wasting in the first thing that comes along).

Hope that gives you an idea or fun project to try this weekend! If you do give it a whirl, I'd LOVE to see what ya came up with!!

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday tonite we are having a one fish two fish dinner (which just so happens to be perfect for lent as well!!). Hopefully I will post pics tomorrow! Have a great nite y'all
