Thrifty Tuesday Making an APPLE Wreath from a Coat Hanger

If you read my "SHUT The Front Door" post on Friday you saw my new apple wreath. One night lying in bed I had the idea the shape a wore coat hanger into and apple...the original plan was to use ribbon to tie around the form (similar to the round ribbon wreath on Pinterest). So simply form your wreath...

Gather your supplies (I landed up using tulle that I cut into strips)

Tie the strips of tulle onto the wreath form until it's full

Once completed I didn't think it looked much like an apple....I made some leaves out of felt simply by cutting a leaf shape out of paper to use as a stencil. I glued a piece if wire to one leaf and then glued both leaves together (I put the wire in between the felt so I can mold the leaves)

VIOLA!! For about $4.50 I was able to make a UNIQUE wreath that coordinates with my fall decor
and I have to tell you, Sunday one of my daughters classmates rang the front bell and presented me with a $5.00 bill asking to buy apples....I asked him if it was a dare and he responded "No, your door says apples for sale $5.00". I LOVE that they noticed my wreath and got a kick out of the fact that they rang the bell! My daughter was highly embarrassed!!

I am trying to start a "Shut the Front Door" link up party on Fridays...I'd LOVE to add your front door!!
