TRY IT THURSDAY Neon Rhinestones

Do you LOVE them?!?!?!

If you looked in the magazines, read blogs or have been to the store you KNOW neon is making a comeback!! I have seen some really fabulous neon jewelry but just don't want to spend the money on a trend...SO what's a girl to do?!?! Make it herself OF COURSE!!

I picked up the bangles at Wal-Mart (after scouring several thrift stores and turning up empty handed...I did find some vintage rhinestone necklaces at a consignment shop BUT the price reflected....$24.99....I didn't want to spend that kind of money if this "experiment" wasn't going to work. And I do realize I am NOT the first person to use nailpolish on rhinestones). It was $5.00 for the buncha bracelets and you KNOW I love an armful, so that was $1.00 / bracelet - I can do that!!

 Then came the pressure to choose the "RIGHT" neon...Wal-Mart's colors were slim for the pickings....yellow would be pretty BUT NOT neon, pink, eh....I rarely wear pink...So I went with "WILD THING" by Pure Ice....PUURRRR-FECT!!!

And the AFTER!! See, the same price tag and everything....I really did "make" them over!!
